In an SOS Village, children live together in an environment where children enjoy a happy childhood. This balanced and supportive environment plays a crucial role in forming a sense of integrity and well-being for these children. Sooner or later, young people have to become responsible members of society. It is important for them to learn practical skills, like learning how to plan their income and expenses, how to prepare food, take care of themselves, and the people around them. The SOS Youth facility is the first step where 14-16 year olds learn to live life on their own. Currently, two Youth facilities are operating in Vilnius. The objective of an SOS Youth Facility is to enable young people to live an independent and sustainable life. Young people maintain their general studies and studies in vocational training schools. Two girls from the facility are students at the University. They all have their own dreams and plans for the future. We wish them success in starting their own homes and families, and in building successful careers! |
