Children from SOS Children Village made their drawings for the exhibition „My Christmas Mirracle for Capital“, that decorated the hall walls in the city goverment building. The main idea of children‘s drawings was the kind things and mirracles, that children would like to give to Vilnius city and it‘s citizens for Christmas. Juozas Imbrasas, Mayor of Vilnius, also participated in exhibition‘s opening ceremony and wished all children Merry Christmas and grand inspiration for coming year 2009; culture department representatives gave children „ Vilnius – Culture Capital 2009“ marks telling them that since now they are real ambassadors of this culture event. Lecturers from Vilnius Children and Youth art galery were happy to help children from „Vilnius SOS Children Village“ to make their drawings. This creative and charity project initiator Genadijus Gricukas, general manager of „DPA programming softwear“, said that such a children charity idea was chosen not accidently. „This creative event‘s idea is kind things , kindness and miracles. Those things are not easy to express on the paper. Little artist had to think about these values first and find the best symbols to express them. Therefore this task is meaningful for them in spirit and creativity point. While children kept on writing their wishes on their still freshly painted drawings, it became clear to us that children mostly are willing to wish others the things they are missing themselves – love, little nice things and joy of sharing“ – G. Gricukas said. |
