“Good afternoon to our families, our volunteers, friends and sponsors! It’s so great to see you all here”- those were the greeting words of Gerda and Gytis for SOS Children Village birthday event to start.

 In this traditional event sincere words, beautiful songs and dances, warmest regards and hugs were not missed as year by year. And that could not be the other way – year by year village’s birthday gathers not only today’s children village’s children and youngsters but former village coworkers and children, that most have their own families now, as well.  Faithful sponsors participate as well in this event; the ones that do care how we live those hard times through. During open doors hours in SOS families’ houses and outdoor buffet, headed by children, talks start about children’s today and future, their dreams…. And most SOs mothers’ concerns find their places in warmest hearts of SOS friends and sponsors. We would like to say our special thank you to our committed and long term sponsor Mrs. Jelena Tulčina and her relatives for so generous heart and real care for our children. We are very thankful to soldiers of Military Academy of Lithuania who gave and shared with our children so many enjoyable moments.
